Band Together to Help North Bay Fire Recovery

In response to this crisis, a coalition of Bay Area business and community leaders launched a coordinated effort to support long-term recovery and rebuilding. This effort kicked off with a benefit concert on Thursday, November 9 with the best seats going to first responders, volunteers, and others impacted by the fires. 100% of ticket sales have been directed to the Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund, supporting community partners working on the front lines to help those hit hardest.

If your organization is interested in supporting this effort, please email info@bandtogetherbayarea.org.

The concert is just the beginning. The Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund supports low-income, vulnerable populations displaced by the destruction. The first phase of fund deployment is focused on addressing urgent needs and includes grants to Community Foundation Sonoma County, Napa Valley Community Foundation, the North Bay Fire Relief Fund established by The Press Democrat, and Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa. The second and third phases will support rebuilding and re-housing efforts. All funds will be expended by December 2018. Tipping Point Community screens non-profits rigorously to identify and invest in the most effective organizations helping Bay Area individuals and families break the cycle of poverty. Since 2005, Tipping Point has raised more than $150 million and helped put 23,000 people on the path out of poverty in the last year alone.
